History

Since 2007 the partner schools are dealing with CLIL teaching methods and developing CLIL teaching material to the project topics in European projects. Some schools of the group are cooperating since 2007. This is the history of our cooperation:

Outdoors in Europe

2016 - 2019

kajakThe world around us is changing rapidly and we face new and unpredictable situations in our everyday lives. The rapidly-changing world has a huge impact on the lives of young people all over Europe. Our responsibility in schools is to prepare the students for the changes. In our experience the traditional teaching methods do not meet the needs of the students coming from diverse cultural and economical backgrounds. We need more active learning and teaching methods in order to prepare them well for their future private and professional lives. We see the necessity for our project because the Europeanizing and globalizing world is often against people who come from these diverse backgrounds.

The objectives of our project are not only to implement more participatory learning and  teaching methods (such as peer teaching) but also to raise awareness for a healthy lifestyle via outdoor activities.

Sports

2013 - 2015

2013 starts a project with the objective ““HEALTHY MIND IN A HEALTHY BODY VIA CLIL AND SPORTS” In this project, CLIL methods, physical education and communication between students and teachers from different countries and cultures, was combined under the heading of sports in our respective cultures. We chose sports as the focus of our project because the young people of today spend a lot of time in virtual reality and the majority do not realize the importance of sports, which can help young people to maintain the ability to function in their daily lives.

Student and teacher representatives from schools from Italy, Spain, Turkey, German, Austria and Finland concentrated in the work at the home schools and in the international project meetings on typical sports in the project countries. Students developed various CLIL activities in small teaching units on the topic sports in several subjects (politics, economy, physics, biology, technology, physical

Water

2010 - 2012

From 2010 the objective of the project was “Dive Into CLIL Through `Water`” was to promote the idea of CLIL. It strives to enhance students´ and teachers´ potential in learning and teaching both content and language. They were introduced to innovative didactic approaches and used them in actual CLIL classrooms. This way students and teachers were made aware of the importance of CLIL for their linguistic, cognitive, social and professional development.

In the first meeting teachers became acquainted with or deepen their knowledge of CLIL methodology by developing materials and creating activities on the various aspects of “Water means living”. They then employed their materials and activities in classroom situations. In subsequent meetings students developed their own CLIL material on numerous aspects (historical-cultural, economic, scientific, environmental) of “Water means living”, which they themselves tried out on their peers.
